Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Hizz only uses the few cookies it needs to work. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
1. In short
- We use only essential cookies. They keep you logged in, remember the gym or team you opened last and your time zone (so “today” is right), let invited testers in before launch, and for coaches remember the last station added. Most last up to a year; the login cookie lasts while you keep using Hizz and is removed when you log out.
- Your light or dark mode choice is saved only in your browser and never sent to us.
- We use no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies.
- That's why there's no cookie banner: the law doesn't require consent for essential cookies, and there's nothing optional to agree to.
- Cookies stay on your device and are only sent to hizz.app. We never sell or share them.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser, so it can remember something between visits, like that you're logged in. “Browser storage” is similar, but its contents stay on your device and aren't sent to the website.
3. What we don't use
- No analytics (such as Google Analytics) and no advertising or social media pixels (such as the Meta Pixel).
- No embedded content from other companies that sets its own cookies: our fonts and videos come from hizz.app itself, so visiting Hizz doesn't contact Google or YouTube.
- No cross-site tracking. Browser signals like Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control don't change anything, because we already behave as if they were on.
4. Why there's no cookie banner
The EU ePrivacy rules (and Türkiye's KVKK cookie guidance) only require your consent for cookies that aren't needed for the service you asked for, such as analytics or advertising. Every cookie we use is needed to log you in, remember a choice you made, or show the right day, so there's nothing to ask you for. If we ever want to use an optional cookie, we'll ask you first with a clear choice, and update this page before we do.
5. How to see or delete cookies
You can delete Hizz's cookies at any time. You'll be logged out and Hizz will forget your last gym; everything you've logged stays safe in your account. Blocking essential cookies means you can't stay logged in.
- Chrome on a computer: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites → search “hizz.app” → Delete data.
- Chrome on Android: Settings → Site settings → All sites → hizz.app → Delete & reset.
- Safari on iPhone: Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → hizz.app → delete.
- Safari on Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → hizz.app → Remove.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → hizz.app → Remove.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data → See all cookies and site data → hizz.app → delete.
Browser menus change from time to time; if a step looks different, search your browser's help for “delete cookies for one site”. If you installed Hizz on your home screen, its data is cleared the same way (on iPhone, removing the app from the home screen also clears it).
6. More about your data
This page only covers cookies and browser storage. What we store about you, why, and your rights are in our Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@hizz.app.
7. Changes
We update this page whenever a cookie is added, removed or changed, and show the date at the top. Optional cookies would only ever come with a clear choice for you first.
